My sister and I want to get small tattoos of something that relates to our heritage which is Dutch, English, and German. We really want a symbol of some sort, but also maybe a short saying. We are having a really hard time finding any. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Me and a few of the tribe members of TATAK NG APAT NA ALON TRIBE. along with WHANG-OD the last of the tattooist of the kalinga or in general of northern luzon that practices the old way.. it was really a great honor because we were there at the diddiga festival with LARS who also is a friend of ours and did the show TATTOO HUNTER on discovery channel with WHANG-OD. and so it was a great honor for me for her to ask me to tattoo her when she is the LAST tattooist in the region and the master, like a master passing the blessing onto an apprentice…. so it was so great..
and she took it like a CHAMP!!! and was not moving at all… and the tool i was using was a bamboo and from Benguet by the the ibaloi tribe the bottom part of it is shaped like a SNAKE’s head and the mouth of the snake is where the needles go.. so the HSSS!! of the snake is when you get blessing or tattoo of the warrior symbols of our fallin ancestors.. (of course if any one wanted to know it is not recycled the TOOL it is brand new always and made again and again i replicated the shape so that the symblism can still be powerful when someone is getting tattooed)

Are little black heart outlines on wrists considered really really cliche tattoos these days? Or are they considered cute, feminine and timeless?
Failing that what would be some nice ideas for simple, feminine symbols on the wrist?
Maybe put something like a small music note, or a treble clef. Or maybe, if you have like a word that you have a special connection with or a phrase that means something to you, you could get that put on your wrist. I wouldn’t put a heart, because maybe as you get older it might look a little childish. But I would suggest putting something mature and classy. Not like a star or anything. Or maybe, if you like a certain word, you could get it tattooed in a language like Greek, Latin, Chinese, or Japanese. Just look around the web and don’t stop looking until you find the tattoo that you are absolutely sure about :]
