Im getting a sparrow tattooed on my hip
on March 17th.. I’ve always like the sparrow idea,
and i was looking for something to represent the freedom
I’ve had over my struggles in the past.
I cant decide whether to do in color, or just do some
really great black and white shading.
What do you think might look better?
Any ideas for freedom representing tattoos?

if you go color go with the red and blue so it looks old school sailor like…or if you go black and white,go with a quality tattooist who can shade well….good luck,i am sure what ever you choose will look sexy and good
Alright, so I know what a sparrow tattoo symbolizes. I also know what a diamond tattoo symbolizes. But what does it mean if you were to put them together?
I’m planning on getting a tattoo on my chest of two sparrows holding a diamond. I got inspired by this necklace.

i think that a lot of other people already have similar ideas to that. the diamond’s a cute idea, but the two birds facing each other? how many other people have got it done already, on their chest, most of them blue. just sayin’. but it’s not a bad idea if you get past that. but i’m thinking the meaning to me would be, "i’m going to the top, where i’m free, with or without your help. because i’ll have wealth to guide me." just sayin’.

Story line:
After the Opening credits, Liz is with Jack. But Will comes back for her and she leaves with him, leaving Jack feeling confused. When Liz is with Will, she can’t help feeling like she betrayed Jack. She decided she needs to end it with Will and go back to Jack. Jack has been up to his normal schemes and Liz can’t take it anymore. But after their farewell kiss, she starts to flash back of all the memories she had with each Will and Jack. Finally she decides that in order to make it easier for everyone, she leaves. Having just the memories of the past.

This piece is Amanda’s homage to her mother who lost a battle with cancer in the summer of 2009. The sparrow represents peace, love, freedom, joy and many other things that represented Amanda’s mother, Elizabeth. This piece is a small reminder that though her mom isn’t with us anymore, her memories live on in our hearts, and her spirit is soaring on wings like eagles in heaven surrounded by the glory of her Father God.

I want to get a tattoo (a small sparrow), but I’ve been told I’ll regret it after.. Anybody who has gotten a tattoo before, do you regret it?
Any info, oppinions or stories about tattoo’s or your tattoo’s would be great
Most people will say that it has to mean something to you, but I have an anchor on my wrist that is virtually meaningless and I love it. I think my best piece of advice for you is to give it some time to make sure it’s really something you want. Be absolutely confident that you are completely comfortable with having something on your body for the rest of your life. It sounds dramatic, but you have to be 100% ready to make that commitment. If you are worried you might regret it, maybe you aren’t ready. Only you can make that decision.
